Cup of Portugal: Santa Clara is under test after defeating the Gawler

In the late game of the second round of the Cup of Portugal, the Santa Clara, leader of the League of Honor, received and hit the Gawler, the third division, for 1-0.

The Santa Clara soon be placed at an advantage (4 minutes) through Ruben Rodriguez. The team Azores, despite the many changes, managed to be higher than that Jatoi, keeping control of the game for 90 minutes. However, the opponent has proved to be an acute team, always trying to snub the guardian of Santa Clara, Joao Botelho. At 83 minutes, Tiago Rocha could have allowed the Gawler extend the dream to continue into evidence, but missed a good opportunity.

The reason for this delay is due to a protest of Lusitano, the third division, who during the game with the Jatoi, argued that there are some illegalities. However, the Council of Justice of the Portuguese Football Federation rejected the protest, allowing it to remain in competition.

The Santa Clara receives, on Wednesday, the Hamilton, for the third round.
